The annual Christmas Match at Century Ponds saw 10 anglers compete for the George Bingham Shield in cold, calm conditions which affected the sport considerably. Ian Tucker took the honours with a last-minute solitary Carp weighing in at 11lb 12oz from peg 6.

Runner-up was Warren Bates with a bag of Roach for 3lb 6oz from peg 9. In third spot was Keith Pope with a 2lb 2oz catch of Roach from peg 13. Six anglers caught. Prizes were kindly donated by Scott's Tackle, Veals Of Bristol and Antbait. Thanks to George Clark for running the Match and to all anglers for entering.

3rd - Andrew Reis - 10lb 10oz (peg 12)
Biggest Fish - George Clark - 16lb 1oz Mirror
The fourth All-Night Carp Match was fished on the night of the first heavy frost of the year, with temperatures falling below zero as 9 intrepid anglers battled each other and the cold. Shaun Porter took the top spot for the second Match running with a monster haul of 72lb 5oz from peg 8, comprised of 8 fish.

George Clark once again came second with 47lb 13oz from peg 3 in addition to landing the biggest fish of the night, a 16lb 1oz Mirror Carp. Third place was Andrew Reis with a solitary 10lb 10oz fish. Five anglers blanked (hardly surprising considering the temperature drop).

Thanks to George Clark for running the Match - he managed to lose 1 fish and missed another 3 whilst weighing other competitor's fish.

3rd - Ian Tucker - 8lb 2oz
The second All-Night Carp Match saw Martin Coombes take the honours with 28lb 5oz. A lack of breeze and ripple meant the Carp were reluctant to feed, hence the low weights compared to the first Match.
